Edward Preston Chamfer Shave No. 89

The Edward Preston chamfer shave number 89 is a tool used to chamfer edges. The chamfer guides (seen on the underside of the chamfer shave) can be adjusted using the thumbscrews up to a range of 1 1/2".

The tool is finished in the distinctive green colour associated with the late additions to the Preston range.

An almost identical tool at the time was produced by Stanley and a slightly later addition was made by Record.
